نعم، للمشتكى عليه حق الاستعانة بمحامٍ في مرحلة التحقيق، والأفضل ألا تُدلي بإفادتك قبل استشارته.

ما الفرق بين الشكوى والادعاء بالحق الشخصي؟

الشكوى تحرّك الملف الجزائي، أما الادعاء بالحق الشخصي فهو مطالبة المتضرر بالتعويض، ويمكن تقديمه ضمن الدعوى الجزائية.

Can I have a lawyer with me before the public prosecutor?

Yes. The accused has the right to a lawyer during investigation, and it's best not to give a statement before consulting one.

What's the difference between a complaint and a civil claim?

The complaint sets the criminal case in motion; the civil claim is the victim's demand for compensation, which can be brought within the criminal case.
